Education
Comprehensive education is the surest way to rise above the crushing effects of poverty. Yet most children in the colonias struggle to extend their education beyond elementary school.
The expectations and qualifications for secondary school in the colonias can be daunting. Casa Bugambilia provides programs to give children the tools to succeed in their studies and instill an appreciation for education that will inspire them to continue their education at the secondary level and beyond.
Our Education Mission
Supporting the children of the colonias throughout their primary and secondary education by:
Preparing each class of preschool children to enter first grade fully ready to learn.
Staying connected with each child and family throughout their primary education to assure they continue to achieve at their grade level.
Providing daily tutoring at a dedicated classroom facility to school children in danger of falling behind in their class work.
Providing classes at Casa Bugambilia to develop special skills, such as computer use and research skills, that aid academic achievement.
Providing financial support for secondary education.
